Henry Loring Masters (27 May 1984 - 21 November 2009)
Henry was ill with AIHA in 2002 at the end of his senior year in high school. He went on to fully recover, finish college, build a nonprofit resumé, and begin a graduate program in public health policy. His doctors did not think he would experience a recurrence.
Seven years later, however, in the fall of 2009, he encountered a formidable opponent, the H1N1 virus, before the vaccine was widely available. H1N1 triggered a return of AIHA. Henry took himself to the ER on a Monday morning and died the following Saturday.
